Andy Nyman to star in Hello, Dolly!
Previously playing Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof at the Playhouse Theatre, Andy Nyman will play Horace Vandergelder. Further theatre credits include Hangmen at the Royal Court and Ghost Stories in the West End, with Ghost Stories recently revived at the Ambassadors Theatre. On television, Nyman has played Winston Churchill in BBC's Peaky Blinders.
Jenna Russell to play Irene Molloy
The Olivier Award-winning actress Jenna Russell will star in Hello, Dolly! as Irene Molloy. Imelda Staunton to play Dolly Levi
Nyman and Russell will star alongside Imelda Staunton, who will play the titular role of Dolly in the upcoming revival. What happens in Hello, Dolly!
Based on Thornton Wilder's The Matchmaker, Hello, Dolly! follows Dolly Levi, a matchmaker who travels to New York for her latest job; to find the 'half-a-millionaire' Horace Vandergelder a wife. But, while searching for his beautiful bride-to-be, Dolly quickly realises that the next match she needs to make is for herself.
Hello, Dolly! features music by Jerry Herman, with songs including "Before the Parade Passes By" and "Penny in My Pocket".
