Aspects of Love at Menier Chocolate Factory from 3 July

Aspects of Love will open at the Menier Chocolate Factory, an off West End venue near London Bridge, on 15 July 2010, following previews from 3 July - booking to 11 Sep 2010.

It has music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, lyrics by Don Black and Charles Hart, and is based on the novel by David Garnett.

Directed by Trevor Nunn, who previously directed the world premiere of Aspects of Love in 1989, and returns to the piece to direct this new intimate version.

Designs are by David Farley, lighting by Paul Pyant, sound by Gareth Owen.

Tells the story of passion, love and loss across three generations of a family and their companions set against the background of 1940's France and Italy. Alex Dillingham, a young student travelling through France, falls in love with the alluring actress Rose Vibert. As the pair embark on a passionate affair, the unexpected arrival of Alex's uncle changes their lives forever. A love story spanning twenty years binding six people and three generations as they come to appreciate that love changes everything.

As previously mentioned, also coming up at the Menier Chocolate Factory: Hannah Waddingham will be performing a cabaret show from 16 to 20 March 2010. Two Willy Russell plays in repertoire from 26 March to 8 May 2010. Shirley Valentine directed by Glen Walford, starring Meera Syal & Educating Rita directed by Jeremy Sams, starring Larry Lamb, Laura Dos Santos. A musical production of Paradise Found, 19 May to 26 June 2010 starring Mandy Patinkin, jointly-directed by Hal Prince and Susan Stroman. Music is by Johann Strauss Jr, book by Richard Nelson and lyrics by Ellen Fitzhugh. Based on Joseph Roth's novel The Tale Of the 1002nd Night.
