Barbara Cook's Broadway at the Gielgud Theatre for 18 perfs from 11 May 2004

Barbara Cook's Broadway will open at the Gielgud Theatre 13 may 2004, following previews from 11 May, and will run for 18 performances to 29 May 2004.

Barbara Cook, along with musical director and arranger Wally Harper on piano and Jon Burr on bass, takes the audience on a musical tour of the Golden Years of Broadway.

For two decades, from 1951 to 1971, Barbara Cook, now in her mid-seventies, was a leading star of the Broadway musical theatre, creating roles in such classics as Candide, The Music Man and She Loves Me!. In Barbara Cook's Broadway, the Tony Award winner performs her favorite songs from, and reminisces about, this legendary period.

Her previous show, "Mostly Sondheim", performed in both New York and London in 2001, was nominated for a Tony Award for Best Special Theatrical Event.

Barbara Cook's Broadway! transfersto London from the Lincoln Center Theater in New York, where it has run from March until April. After its London run, the show will then return to the Lincoln Center on 1 June for an additional 23 performances through Saturday, 26 June.
