The West End production of Meat Loaf musical Bat Out of Hell is set to close at the Dominion Theatre early next year.

Featuring songs from Jim Steinman's classic Bat Out of Hell albums, the musical was set in the dystopian city of Obsidian where Strat - a mutant who is unable to age beyond 18 - falls in love with Raven, the daughter of the tyrannical Falco.

Bat Out of Hell will play its final performance at the Dominion Theatre on 5th January.

The musical got its London premiere at the London Coliseum in June 2017, before returning to the West End in April of this year. It has also gone on to tour in Canada and Germany.

It features some of Meat Loaf's greatest hits, including "Two Out Of Three Ain't Bad", "I'd Do Anything For Love", Paradise by the Dashboard Light" and "Dead Ringer for Love". An official London cast recording has been released, featuring Andrew Polec as Strat, Christina Bennington as Raven, and Rob Fowler as Falco.

Until the end of the year, the production will stage a number of 'singalong' performances, where audience members are invited to belt out the numbers with the cast during the performance. The next such performance, to be held on the evening of Halloween, 31st October, invites theatregoers to dress up with the best-dressed audience member winning a prize. There will be a similar performance on New Year's Eve.

Bat Out of Hell will close at the Dominion Theatre on 5th January 2019.
