The Tricycle Theatre in association with Fiery Angel, Fiery Dragons and The Watermill Theatre will present Ben Hur by Patrick Barlow, based on the novel by General 'Lew' Wallace which will run at the Tricycle Theatre in Kilburn, north London from 19 November 2015 to 9 January 2016.

Directed by Tim Carroll, the production reunites the team behind the Olivier and Tony award-winning comedy 'The 39 Steps' and uses just four actors to tell the epic story set in ancient Rome.

The production has been described as having "stunning combat (featuring the latest 3D technology), a 103% bona fide chariot race (with REAL CHARIOTS), an authentic sea battle (with REAL WATER) and a decadent and UNEXPURGATED Roman orgy (suitable for all ages)."

The cast for the production includes Alix Dunmore, Richard Durden, John Hopkins & Ben Jones.

It will feature design by Michael Taylor, lighting design by Mark Doubleday, sound design by Ben & Max Ringham and movement direction by Siân Williams.

Tickets for the production are now on sale.
