The Bunker Theatre has announced casting for Alex Gwyther's new play Eyes Closed, Ears Covered, which will open in September.

Set in Woking in 1986, the play is about two boys who, after weeks of planning, bunk off school to spend the day in Brighton and relieve a day from their past. Gwyther's play explores what happens when children are exposed to domestic violence  - something which affects one in five British kids.

The world premiere will star Danny-Boy Hatchard (EastEnders) as Aaron and Joe Idris-Roberts (set to play Pinocchio in the National Theatre's upcoming production)  as Seb. Phoebe Thomas (Hetty Feather, Vaudeville) will play Lily in the production directed by Derek Anderson.

The production will run at the Bunker Theatre from 8th to 30th September, with previews from 6th September.
