Charged 6 new plays by 6 writers at Soho Theatre 10 Nov

Clean Break presents Charged, 6 new plays by 6 writers, at The Soho Theatre, near Piccadilly central London, from 10 to 27 Nov 2010.

The six plays are presented over two performances in two cycles of three plays each (Charged 1 & Charged 2).

Premiering plays by six female playwrights (By E V Crowe, Sam Holcroft, Rebecca Lenkiewicz, Chloe Moss, Winsome Pinnock & Rebecca Prichard), Clean Break takes over the entire Soho Theatre building with a season of new plays about women, crime and justice.

Audiences journey into Soho Theatre’s different spaces, discovering the untold stories of women and the criminal justice system. Girl gangs and life on the edge, older women trapped in the system, deaths in custody, child trafficking, addiction and power struggles are some of the themes uncovered by Charged.

Directed by Tessa Walker (replacing Clare Lizzimore), Lucy Morrison and Caroline Steinbeis

Clean Break is a women’s theatre company using theatre for personal and political change and working with women whose lives have been affected by the criminal justice system.
