Close To You by Jennifer Eggleton - Southwark Playhouse

Tangled Thread Theatre presents Close To You by Jennifer Eggleton, at the Southwark Playhouse's 'Little Space', a fringe venue near Elephant and Castle in south London, from 11 to 15 March 2014.

Directed by Anna Louise Simpson, Close To You is based on real life experiences and explores the obsession, despair and tentative hope of a young woman in the grip of Anorexia.

The play follows the descent of young wannabe performer Jennie. Desperate for recognition, fame and love, and to be just like her idol Karen Carpenter, she slips into the isolated world of disordered eating.
