Cool Hand Luke cast Update at Aldwych Theatre

Cast update for Cool Hand Luke, by Donn Pearce, adapted for the stage by Emma Reeves, which opens at the Aldwych Theatre, 3 Oct 2011, following previews from 23 Sep - booking to 7 Jan 2012

Joining previously mentioned Marc Warren as 'Luke Jackson', are Lee Boardman as 'Dragline' (Best known for playing Murray Priestman in Drop Dead Gorgeous; the drug dealer Jez Quigley in Coronation Street and as Timon the Jew in the television series Rome.); Lisa Eichhorn as 'Mrs Jackson' (Lisa received a Golden Globe nomination for her performance in John Schlesinger's Yanks in 1979, a BAFTA nomination for James Ivory's The European's also in 1979 and a Best Actress Award at the Deauville Film Festival for Cutter's Way in 1981).

The cast also includes Rob Falconer (Bull Bill), Joshua McCord (Rabbit), Nathan Osgood (Carr), Tom Silburn (Curly), David Sturzaker (Society Red), Richard Brake (Boss Godfrey), Kenneth Jay (Boss Kean), Sandra Marvin, Tania Mathurin, Bret Jones, Michael Cuckson, Julie Rogers.

It is directed by Andrew Loudon, designed by Edward Lipscomb, lighting by Matthew Eagland. Produced by Novel Theatre.

Cool Hand Luke is the hard-hitting story of a World War II veteran turned convict and rebel, whose unquenchable spirit and refusal to be broken by the system becomes part of his fellow convicts' mythology of survival.
