Curve Leicester’s winter season to include trio of revivals
The season will commence with The Color Purple, with all shows staged in a socially distant auditorium.
The Curve in Leicester will reopen its door to the public next month, as a trio of shows are staged for the theatre’s winter season. All three shows to be performed are revivals of Leicester favourites, with performances beginning next month.
Curve will reopen with a seating capacity of 533, with concert performances taking place on the stage. A triple-revolve has been donated by Cameron Mackintosh, further transforming the space for upcoming shows.
T’Shan Williams and Danielle Fiamanya will return to Curve Leicester in The Color Purple as Celie and Nettie respectively. Last seen in Leicester in 2019, The Color Purple returns from 23 November to 3 December.
Danny Mac and Ria Jones return to Curve Leicester this Christmas with a concert production of Sunset Boulevard. Playing Joe Gillis and Norma Desmond respectively, performances will include a 16-piece live orchestra. Sunset Boulevard returns from 14 December to 3 Jan. 2021.
The season is rounded off by a revival of Memoirs Of An Asian Football Casual. The Leicester drama is based on football hooligan Raz Khan, with performances in the New Year from 25 Jan. 2021 to 6 Feb. 2021.
