Daniel Pearce, to join "Jailhouse Rock" from 27 Dec at the Piccadilly Theatre

Jailhouse Rock The Musical , based on Elvis Presley's classic 1957 film, opened at the Piccadilly Theatre on 19 Apr 04, following previews from 26th Mar 04, and is currently taking bookings to 2 April 2005.

Jailhouse Rock The Musical has been adapted for the stage by the writer/director team of Alan Janes and Rob Bettinson whose first collaboration 'Buddy', the story of Buddy Holly, had a 12 year run in the West End, ending in March 2002.

Featuring a catalogue of 1950's rock 'n' roll classics, the show tells the story of Vince Everett, a young man from the wrong side of the tracks who discovers his own unique musical talent whilst doing time in jail and emerges to become the world's greatest rock n' roll star, only to discover that he isn't ready for the pressures that money and fame can bring.

Produced by Theatre Partners, Jailhouse Company and Volcanic Island, Jailhouse Rock The Musical , is directed by Rob Bettinson, designed by Adrian Rees, and choreograped by Drew Anthony.
