Dreamboats and Petticoats to return to West End 6 Jan

Bill Kenwright's production of Dreamboats & Petticoats, which ended a 4 month run at the Savoy theatre at the end of October, will return to the West End on 6 Jan 2010, opening this time at the Playhouse Theatre, where it is taking bookings to 29 May 2010.

The show, featuring songs from Roy Orbison, The Shadows, Eddie Cochran, Billy Fury, Chuck Berry and many more, opened at the Savoy Theatre 27 June 2009, following previews from 22 July, to moderate notices from the popular press: THE GUARDIAN says, " Inoffensive and as squeaky clean as a toothpaste advert." THE TIMES says, "There's a laziness to the concept and a cheapness to its execution." THE DAILY TELEGRAPH says, "I confess I loved every moment of this show."

It is written by Laurence Marks and Maurice Gran, inspired by the album, Dreamboats and Petticoats. Directed by Bob Tomson with choreography by Carole Todd
