Robyn Keynes and Theatre in Heights present the European premiere of East of Berlin by Hannah Moscovitch at the Southwark Playhouse's Little space from 18 June to 12 July 2014.

The play originally opened in Toronto in 2009, and is a memory play about redemption from the sins of our fathers. This new production is directed by Blythe Stewart, with designs by Holly Pigott.

Standing outside his father's study in Paraguay, Rudi is smoking cigarettes, trying to work up the courage to go in. It has been seven years since he left his family and their history behind him. He is unaware of his father's past life as a Nazi SS doctor in Auschwitz, until the truth is revealed and Rudi's life is thrown into turmoil. As he attempts to research his path to redemption, he is forced to face his father and his new found obsession.
