Elegies: A Song Cycle , by William Finn will be at Arts Theatre for two nights only, Sundays 7 & 14 Nov 2004 starring John Barrowman, Susannah Fellows, Deven May, Lauren Ward

Elegies: A Song Cycle is a collection of 20 songs - tributes to the friends and family members William Finn has loved and lost over the years; written from a personal perspective, avoiding sentimentality.

According to the press release this will be the first time any of the Tony Award-winning composer's work has been performed in London in almost 20 years. However, it seems some songs were performed in "Notes From New York" at the Donmar Warehouse in March 2004!

It is directed by Jamie Lloyd, designed by Jason Southgate, lighting by Oliver Fenwick, with musical director Nathan Martin.
