Joe Orton's Entertaining Mr Sloane, starring Imelda Staunton & Mathew Horne , opens at the Trafalgar Studios One, 30 Jan 2009, following previews from 22 Jan 2009 - booking to 11 Apr 2009.

It is directed by Nick Bagnall and designed by Peter McKintosh and Colin Richmond. It is produced by Michael Edwards & Carole Winter and English Touring Theatre.

It may be Swinging 60s London but out in the suburbs, behind closed doors, Kath is lonely. Craving love and affection, Kath and her bachelor brother take a lodger. Soon, both become infatuated with the shady young tenant with a murky past - Mr Sloane.

Imelda Staunton's London stage credits includes "There Came A Gypsy Riding" at the Almeida in 2007; "Calico" at the Duke of York's in 2004; "LIFE x 3" at the Lyttelton, NT & Old Vic in 2000/01; "Guys and Dolls" at the Olivier, NT in 1996/97 "Habeas Corpus" at the Donmaer Warehouse in 1996.

Mathew Horne is best known for his TV work in "Gavin and Stacey" and "The Catherine Tate Show".
