Gatz, the enactment of the novel The Great Gatsby

Gatz, created by Elevator Repair Service from the text of F. Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby, is at the Noel Coward Theatre from 8 Jun to 15 July 2012.

Gatz is not a retelling of the Gatsby story but an enactment of the novel itself. Over the course of a single 8 hour production running from 2.30pm to 10.30pm (including two fifteen minute intervals and a one and a half hour supper break), Fitzgerald's American 'masterpiece' is delivered word for word, brought to life by a low-rent office staff in the midst of their inscrutable business operations.

The production has been performed at the Public Theatre, New York and is again directed by John Collins, with cast including Scott Shepherd (Nick). It is being presented in LOndon as part of the London International Festival of Theatre (LIFT).
