Ghosts, has posted early closing notices at the Duchess theatre for 27 March 2010.
Ghosts by Henrik Ibsen, in a new version by Frank Mcguinness, only opened at the Duchess Theatre last month on 23 Feb 2010, following previews from 11 Feb, and was originally running to 15 May - but will now end almost 2 months early on 27 March.
The play is directed and stars Iain Glen as ‘Pastor Manders’. Lesley Sharp plays ‘Mrs Alving’. Harry Treadaway (Oswald), Jessica Raine (Regine), Malcolm Storry (Engstrand).
It is produced by Thelma Holt & Nica Burns.
Mrs Alving's is preparing for the opening of an orphanage - a memorial to her late husband. Her son Oswald, an artist, returns home for the celebrations. A story of love, betrayal and hypocrisy gradually unfolds as ghosts from the past come back to haunt the living, making sure the sins of the fathers are never forgiven.
