Gods Are Fallen And All Safely Gone - Camden

Greyscale presents Gods Are Fallen And All Safely Gone, written and directed by Selma Dimitrijevic, at the Camden People's Theatre, a 60 seat fringe venue near Warren Street in central London, from 12 to 31 May 2015, as part of a UK tour.

The play borrows its title from John Steinbeck's "East of Eden" and explores the familiar theme of a child's eventual recognition of their parents as a fellow human being.

Synopsis: "The story of a 30-something daughter visiting her aging mother, depicting the most simple of conversations from baths, to tea, boyfriends and the weather. Using repetition with subtle developments and changes, the play produces an analysis of a lifetime of interactions between the two, gently pulling apart an ever-evolving relationship with a distinctly inevitable end."

Gods Are Fallen And All Safely Gone features scenic design by Oliver Townsend and has an all male cast, including Sean Campion and Scott Turnbull. A mother and daughter from the local community will join the cast on stage for each night of the run.
