Hindu culture extravaganza at Her Majesty's 7 Feb - raising funds for Make-A-Wish Foundation
An Hindu culture extravaganza titled Rangeela 2010 by over 100 students from University College London Hindu Society, will take place at Her Majesty’s Theatre, on 7 Feb 2010 at 7pm
The event is organised by Meera Sheth and her fellow students at UCL, to raise funds for Make-A-Wish Foundation® UK, the charity which grants magical wishes to children and young people fighting life-threatening illnesses.
The show includes Bollywood dancing alongside salsa, hip hop, fusion and street. The show will also feature classical Indian music on instruments like the tabla and sitar, with a fashion show showcasing designs by some of the UK’s leading Indian fashion companies.
Meera says: “Make-A-Wish is a great cause to support. Our committee are all familiar with the good work that they do and wanted to support this unique and inspiring charity. We hope that the funds we raise help Make-A-Wish bring joy to many more children in the future.”
Tickets for the show: 0751 5642 612
Price: £15 - £20
There are currently 20,000 children and young people in the UK fighting a life-threatening illness. In 2010 around 1,000 children will turn to Make-A-Wish to experience the magic of a Make-A-Wish wish. To grant all these Make-A-Wish needs to raise at least £5 million each year.
