Hit Me! The Life and Rhymes of Ian Dury three nights only at the West End's Garrick Theatre from 9 September

Hit Me! The Life and Rhymes of Ian Dury, written and directed by Jeff Merrifield, at the West End's Garrick Theatre for three nights 9 to 11 Sep 2010, as part of a UK tour, which starts at the Edinburgh Fringe in August.

Starring Mark White (Ian Dury), Josh Darcy (Fred 'Spider' Rowe).

It is produced by Seabright Productions, Irving Rappaport and Playback Art.

Blending humour and brutal reality, the show explores the highs and lows of Ian Dury's extraordinary life and career from a Dickensian childhood at a boarding school for disabled children to world-wide fame as a cult hero and the fore-father of punk before his sadly premature death. Featuring classic songs performed live, including Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick and Reasons To Be Cheerful.
