"HOBSON'S CHOICE" ANNOUNCE CAST AT YOUNG VIC

Casting has been announced for Hobson's Choice, by Harold Brighouse, in a new adaptation by Tanika Gupta, which opens at the Young Vic Theatre 2 July 03, following previews from 26 Jun 03 and booking to 9 Aug 03.

The cast inmcludes: Paul Bhattacharjee (Hari Hobson), Yasmin Wilde (Durga), Agron Biba, Gareth Farr, Zenab Khan, Shelley King, James Kristian, Vineeta Rishi, Richard Sumitro, Paven Virk, Martin Walsh.

Paul Bhattacharjee was last seen at the Young Vic in "Arabian Nights" and is a founding member of Britain's first Asian Theatre Company, Tara Arts. His most recent London theatre credits include "The Malcontent" and "The Island Princess" for the RSC at the Gielgud Theatre.

The play is directed by Richard Jones, designed by Ultz , lighting by Matthew Richardson .

Widower Hari Hobson has a successful Salford business and three daughters. Durga is the brains behind the operation. When Hobson says that she's too valuable to lose and should give up all idea of getting married, she takes her fate into her own hands.
