Horrible Histories - Barmy Britain is returning daytimes at the Garrick Theatre, with two shows - Barmy Britain - Part One, and then a new show Barmy Britain - Part Two.

Horrible Histories - Barmy Britain Part One, by Terry Deary, Neal Foster and Ciaran McConville, daytimes from 7 Aug to 1 Sep 2013. Starring Neal Foster , Alison Fitzjohn. Barmy Britain explores stories from Roman, Tudor, Stuart, Georgian, Victorian and WW1 periods and features famous characters such as Henry VIII, Anne Boleyn, Guy Fawkes, Florence Nightingale and General Earl Haig. Enjoy an episode of Roman Mankychef and find out how to impress your guests with roast dormouse; is it easier to lose your heart or head to horrible Henry? Will Parliament escape gunpowder Guy? Take a peak inside Georgian Crime School, dare to dance the Tyburn jig and find out what a baby farmer did.

Horrible Histories - Barmy Britain Part Two, a brand new show by Terry Deary and Neal Foster, daytimes from 26 Sep 2013 to 5 Jan 2014, starring Lauryn Redding, Anthony Spargo. Barmy Britain - Part Two! 'leaves the nasty bits in' to ensure real history is conveyed in a fun and memorable way with new songs and sketches for audiences aged 6 to 106! The shows serves up a profusion of funny facts and asks audiences 'Could you beat battling Boudicca?', 'Has William Wallace met his match?, 'Can evil Elizabeth entertain England?' before inviting them to 'move to the groove with party Queen Victoria'.

Both shows are directed by Neal Foster, designed by Jackie Trousdale, lighting by Jason Taylor, sound by Nick Sagar, and music by Matthew Scott.
