Hound of the Baskervilles to close early on 23 June

The comic adaptation of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's The Hound of the Baskervilles is to close one month early on 23 June 2007 at the Duchess Theatre.

The play opened 17 April 2007, following previews from 16 April to positive notices from the popular press: THE DAILY TELEGRAPH says, "There are a host of brilliant gags." THE TIMES says, "It's always enjoyable watching actors do imaginative things with a minimum of props." THE EVENING STANDARD says, "The laughs are here in force...Indubitably a good night out."

Adapted by Peepolykus and Steven Canny, it is directed by Orla O'Loughlin, designed by Ti Green, with lighting by Jackie Shemesh.

A cast of three, Javier Marzan, John Nicholson and Jason Thorpe play over 20 characters.

Concerns an ancient family curse, a desolate moor, a spectral hound, a deranged killer on the loose.
