Jack Thorne's adaptation of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol will return to the Old Vic this Christmas, it has been announced.

Matthew Warchus' production starred Rhys Ifans when it ran last December, alongside John Dagleish, Alex Gaumond, Erin Doherty and Melissa Allan. Casting for the 2018 revival is yet to be announced.

A Christmas Carol will return to the Old Vic from 27th November to 19th January, with an official opening on 5th December.

In a four star review of the production, LondonTheatre.co.uk said: "Matthew Warchus' production is utterly atmospheric, too, with some gorgeous moments."

The production has set and costume designs by Rob Howell, compositions by Christopher Nightingale, lighting by Hugh Vanstone and sound by Simon Baker.

A Christmas Carol is at the Old Vic from 27th November 2018 to 19th January 2019.
