Jerry's Girls revival at St James Studio from 3 Mar 2015

Katy Lipson for Aria Entertainment and Guy James present a revival of Jerry's Girls, created by Jerry Herman and Larry Alford, at the St. James Studio, near Victoria in central London, from 3 to 15 March 2015.

The show, which is a musical revue celebrating the works of American composer and lyricist Jerry Herman, will be directed by Kate Golledge and choreographed by Matthew Cole.

Synopsis: "Featuring songs from classic musicals including Hello Dolly!, Mame, and La Cage Aux Folles, Jerry's Girls brings together an all-female cast to celebrate Jerry Herman's special gift for writing songs that capture the true spirit of the great American musical."

Jerry's Girls was created in 1981 and is being revived thirty years 30 after it opened on Broadway. The show first began as a modest cabaret presentation at Onstage, a nightclub located in New York's theatre district in midtown-Manhattan. A full-scale production followed in 1985, at the St. James Theatre on Broadway. This featured an all-star cast including Chita Rivera, who went on to receive a Tony-Award nomination for her performance.
