Jerusalem returns to West End at Apollo Theatre 8 Oct

Jez Butterworth's Jerusalem, returns to the West End, opening at the Apollo Theatre 17 Oct 2011, following previews from 8 Oct - booking to 14 Jan 2012.

The play had its world premiere at the Royal Court Theatre 10 Jul to 22 Aug 2009, before transferring to the West End's Apollo Theatre, from 10 Feb 2010 to 24 April 2010.The production then went to Broadway from 2 April 2011, where it plays to 21 Aug 2011, before coming back to the West End's Apollo Theatre 8 Oct 2011.

Original Royal Court & Broadway cast members Mark Rylance (Johnny), Mackenzie Crook (Ginger), Danny Kirrane (Davey) & Harvey Robinson (Mr Parsons), reprise their roles. Other cast transferring from the Broadway show are Max Baker (Wesley), Geraldine Hughes (Dawn), Alan David (The Professor), Aimee-Ffion Edwards (Phaedra), Charlotte Mills (Tanya), Sarah Moyle (Ms Fawcett). The cast also featues Johnny Flynn (Lee) .

Jerusalem is directed by Ian Rickson, designed by Ultz, lighting by Mimi Jordan Sherin, sound by Ian Dickinson.

A comic, contemporary vision of life in our green and pleasant land. On St George's Day, the morning of the local county fair, Johnny Byron, local waster and modern day Pied Piper, is a wanted man. The council officials want to serve him an eviction notice, his children want their dad to take them to the fair, Troy Whitworth wants to give him a serious kicking and a motley crew of mates want his ample supply of drugs and alcohol.
