Joel Montague to join West End cast of Waitress

Actor Joel Montague is set to join the West End cast of Waitress at the Adelphi Theatre, where he will play the role of Ogie in Sara Bareilles' musical.

Montague, who has just starred in the musical Falsettos at The Other Palace, will takeover from YouTuber Joe Sugg in the musical from 2nd December. His previous theatre credits also include School of Rock at the Gillian Lynne Theatre, Guys and Dolls, and Funny Girl.

He will join the cast that currently stars Lucie Jones as Jenna, alongside Hannah Tointon, Sandra Marvin, David Hunter, Tamlyn Henderson and Andrew Boyer.

Composer Bareilles is set to join the cast on 27th January in the lead role of Jenna alongside Gavin Creel as Dr Pomatter. The pair both appeared in the Broadway production of the musical in New York at the beginning of the year.

Jones and Hunter will rejoin the cast of Waitress on 9th March 2020.

Waitress is booking at the Adelphi Theatre until 28th March 2020.
