Judi Dench in "All's Well That Ends Well" transfers to Gielgud Theatre from 18 Feb to 24 Apr 04

The Royal Shakespeare Company has confirmed that All's Well That Ends Well will transfer from the Swan Theatre, Stratford-Upon-Avon, to the Gielgud Theatre in London from 18 Feb 04 to 24 April 04 starring Judi Dench

Public booking is expected to open in November 03.

There will be no Monday performances at the Gielgud Theatre. Evening performances will be Tues - Sat at 7.30pm, with matinees Thur & Sat at 2.30pm.

The play is directed by Gregory Doran , and the London transfer produced by Bill Kenwright & Thelma Holt.

Leading the cast of All's Well is RSC Honorary Associate Artist, Dame Judi Dench, who will play the Countess of Rossillion. She said "The Countess is one of the few Shakespearian women that I've never played and I'm thrilled to be working with Greg Doran and being part of a big company again."

The rest of the cast includes: Claudie Blakely (Helena), Jamie Glover (Bertram), Guy Henry (Parolles), Arthur Kohn, Mark Lambert, Jane Maud, Brendan O'Hea, Miles Richardson, Gary Waldhorn

Helena, a doctor's daughter and now ward of the Countess' court, saves the life of the King using one of her father's secret prescriptions. Her reward - to take any man to be her husband. She chooses Bertram, the Countess' son. Appalled at having to marry a commoner, he declares he will never be hers until she obtains the ring he wears and is pregnant with his child, all of which is seemingly impossible...
