Listen, We're Family at Wilton's Music Hall

JW3 and Wilton's Music Hall present a revival of Listen, We're Family, by Kerry Shale and Matthew Lloyd, from an idea by Suzanne Shale, at Wilton's Music Hall in east London, from 14 to 25 October 2014. The play previously enjoyed a run at JW3, a Jewish Community Centre in north west London, in the autumn of 2013.

Co-writer Matthew Lloyd is also directing, and the production features scenic design by Carla Goodman and sound by Steve Mayo. Cast includes Kerry Shale and Tom Berish, who will be reprising their roles alongside Jennie Stoller and Debbie Chazen.

The play is a revelatory exploration of contemporary family life, and dramatises the universally true stories of a gallery of real characters.

Listen, We're Family was created using the verbatim theatre technique, as actor and co-writer Kerry Shale explains, "When we started the project, we had no idea we would be entrusted with such hilarious and hair-raising material. Everyone connects with a different story, whether it's the Medallion Man who started a suburban spanking club, the Rabbi on the liberation of Belsen or the 91 year-old barber who experienced a childhood punch-up around the corner from Wilton's."

Following this run, the production will be transferring again to JW3, until 9 November 2014.
