Marcus Lovett & 'Phantom' from 3 Sep 2012 at Her Majesty's

Marcus Lovett takes over the role of ‘The Phantom’ in The Phantom of the Opera from 3 Sep 2012, at Her Majesty's Theatre. (The Phantom is currently being played by Peter Joback ).

Also joining the show at the same time are Simon Thomas as ‘Raoul’, Lara Martins as ‘Carlotta’ and Anna O’Byrne as ‘Christine’ at certain performances.

The Phantom of the Opera will continue to star Sofia Escobar as ‘Christine’, Cheryl McAvoy(Madame Giry), Jeremy Secomb (Piangi), Barry James (Monsieur Firmin), Gareth Snook (Monsieur Andre), Anna Forbes (Meg Giry).

Marcus Lovett originated the role of ‘The Man’ in “Whistle Down the Wind” at the Aldwych Theatre in 1998. He made his Broadway debut in the original Broadway production of “Les Misérables”. His other Broadway credits include the title role in “King David” at the New Amsterdam Theatre, ‘The Phantom’ in “The Phantom of the Opera” at the Majestic Theatre, ‘Billy Bigelow’ in “Carousel” at the Vivian Beaumont Theatre and ‘Alex Dillingham’ in “Aspects of Love” at the Broadhurst Theatre.
