The Olivier Award-winning playwright Morgan Lloyd Malcolm will present her new play in London later this year. Titled Mum, it's inspired by Malcolm's postnatal experiences, with performances at Soho Theatre from 20 October - 20 November.

Tackling motherhood head on, Mum will ask the big questions that parents face after their child is born. Press material states "Mum is a feverish journey through every parent's worst nightmare."

Mum is the latest play by Morgan Lloyd Malcolm. Her previous work includes Emilia which ran at the Vaudeville Theatre in 2019, Belongings and The Wasp.

The world premiere of Mum will open at Theatre Royal Plymouth, running for a limited engagement from 30 September - 16 October. Mum will then transfer to London's Soho Theatre for a month.

The Mum cast stars Sophie Melville, Denise Black and Cat Simmons. Mum is directed by Abigail Graham, with scenic and costume design by Sarah Beaton, lighting design by Sally Ferguson and sound design by Anna Clock.

Mum is at Soho Theatre from 20 October - 20 November.
