Napoleon the Musical at the Shaftesbury Theatre, is now taking bookings to 22nd Dec 2001

The show has been the subject of rumours lately that it would close next month (Jan), and be replaced by a touring production of The League of Gentlemen, based on the BAFTA award- winning television comedy series. However, this new booking period suggests that if the show receives good enough advanced sales then it could survive!

Napoleon received poor reviews when it opened in October this year. "Napoleon is severely deluded and in urgent need of counselling", says The Independent; The Evening Standard said, "The songs are unmemorable and unhummable." The Times said, "Not tonight, Josephine."

This new musical biography of Napoleon Bonaparte, currently features Paul Baker as 'Napoleon' and  Anastasia Barzee as 'Josephine'.
