Natasha Richardson dies in skiing accident at 45

Film & stage actress Natasha Richardson died at the age of 45, on Wednesday 18 March 2009, from head injuries sustained in a skiing accident in Canada.

She fell on a beginners' slope at the Mont Tremblant resort in Quebec on Monday 16 March.

Natasha Richardson, daughter of actress Vanessa Redgrave and wife of Liam Neeson, appeared at the Almeida theatre in 2003 in "The Lady From the Sea" directed by Trevor Nunn. On Broadway, she won a Tony in 1998, for her portrayal of Sally Bowles in a revival of the musical "Cabaret"
