New production images of Jesus Christ Superstar released

New production photography of the revival of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Jesus Christ Superstar at the Regent's Park Open Air Theatre has been released.

The musical stars Declan Bennett in the title role, alongside Tyrone Huntley as Judas, David Thaxton (Pilate) and Peter Caulfield (Herod).

Directed by Timothy Sheader, the production first ran at the theatre last summer, and was nominated for the Olivier Award for Best Revival. Tyrone Huntley went on to win the Evening Standard Emerging Talent Award.

Jesus Christ Superstar tells the story of Jesus Christ's last seven days, and features the well-known songs "I Don't Know How to Love Him", "Gethsemane" and "Superstar".

Following its London revival, the production will transfer to the Lyric Opera of Chicago in April 2018.
