Nights of Enchantment by Gillian Pencavel at Etcetera

Tree Folk Theatre presents Nights of Enchantment, by Gillian Pencavel, based on the 1001 Arabian Nights, directed by Alice Sillett, at the Etcetera Theatre, a 42-seat fringe venue above the Oxford Arms Pub, in Camden, north London, from 6 to 16 March 2013.

An Arabian journey through use of storytelling, masks, puppetry and music.

Trapped in a disused room in the Sultan's palace, the Princess and her cohorts tell each other the stories of their childhood to keep their fear at bay. Each story takes us deeper into their world of magic and mystery, sultans and sorcery, and into a place where words have the ultimate power in matters of life and death.
