Oh What A Lovely War stars Caroline Quentin

Caroline Quentin will join the ensemble cast of the 2014 Theatre Royal Stratford East production of Oh What A Lovely War, the satirical musical about World War I, at the Theatre Royal Stratford East, from 1 Feb to 15 Mar 2014.

Best known for her roles in the popular television series Men Behaving Badly and Jonathan Creek, Caroline Quentin has recently performed on stage in Relative Values directed by Trevor Nunn for Theatre Royal Bath.

The cast also includes Alice Bailey-Johnson, Ian Bartholomew, Oliver J. Hembrough, Rebecca Howell, Tom Lorcan, Shaun Prendergast, Zoe Rainey, Kyle Redmond-Jones and Michael Simkins.

The musical is packed with familiar songs from the World War I era including 'It's a Long Way to Tipperary', 'Pack up Your Troubles' and 'Keep the Home Fires Burning'. The songs are performed against a projected backdrop of images and shocking statistics conveying the harsh realities of war.
