Images have been released showing actor Bryan Cranston in rehearsals for the National Theatre's production of Network, which opens in the Lyttelton next month.

Ivo van Hove directs the play, adapted from the film of the same name by Lee Hall, which is about a new anchor whose job is on the brink after failing to pull in the ratings. However, his on-screen rants see the numbers pick up as he delivers some home truths to his country live on screen.

The production stars Cranston, who is best-known for his Emmy Award-winning role as Walter White in Breaking Bad, as well as Hal in the '00s sitcom Malcom in the Middle. He stars alongside Downton Abbey's Michelle Dockery.

The production has set and lighting design by Jan Versweyveld, video design by Tal Yarden, costume design by An D'Huys, music and sound by Eric Sleichim.

Audiences have also had the chance to buy tickets for an immersive on-stage dining experience, complete with three course meal, while the production is taking place.

Network runs in the Lyttelton at the National Theatre on 4th November, with an official opening on 13th November.
