Pirandello's Naked at the Jack Studio Theatre
Ballast Thetre will present Naked by Luigi Pirandello adapted by Howard Colyer which will run at the Jack Studio Theatre in Brockley, south London, from 12 January to 30 January 2016, with an official opening on 14 January 2016.
The production will be directed by Roberta Zuric and feature Josephine Rattigan, Jean Apps, Piers Hunt, and Declan Cooke.
Freely adapted from Pirandello's play, 'Vestire gli ignudi', the play follows a young woman who attempts suicide - but she's found before the poison can kill her. A journalist becomes interested in her life, then a novelist - stories circulate, more people are drawn in, and even the Foreign Office tries to intervene.
Luigi Pirandello (1867-1936) was born in Sicily. His works for the stage include 'Six Characters in Search of an Author' and 'Henry IV'.
Tickets for the production are now on sale.
