Potter's Daniel Radcliffe on London Stage 2007.

It is reported that Harry Potter's Daniel Radcliffe and Richard Griffiths will star in Peter Shaffer's Equus in the West End in March 2007, directed by Thea Sharrock and produced by David Pugh.

Daniel Radcliffe may shock many Potter fans, as the plot involves performing a sex act while on a horse!

Equus focuses on the relationship between 17 year-old Alan Strang (Daniel Radcliffe), who has blinded six horses with a spike, and Martin Dysart (Richard Griffiths), a middle-aged psychiatrist who tries to figure out what drove Strang to commit the crime.

Daniel Radcliffe says on his web site: "I'm really excited to be part of this production and thrilled to be working with Richard Griffiths again. This is obviously a huge departure for me as an actor, but Equus is such an amazing play that this really was an opportunity not to be missed. Rehearsal starts in January and I am very much looking forward to working with Thea Sharock who is an incredibly talented director. I only hope I do the role justice."

Tickets are not on sale yet as the West End venue is still to be confirmed.
