'Power of Sail' to make UK premiere at Menier Chocolate Factory
Dominic Dromgoole returns to the theatre following last year’s Marjorie Prime to direct this moral thriller about the line between hate and freedom of speech.
The European premiere of Paul Grellong’s Power of Sail is set to open at the Menier Chocolate Factory in March.
The show follows Harvard professor Charles Nichols, who invites a white nationalist to his yearly symposium, creating concern among his colleagues about how the guest speaker will impact both his and the university's reputation. The students protest his decision but Charles refuses to change his mind.
The creative team includes director Dominic Dromgoole – who returns to the company following the success of last year’s Marjorie Prime – designer Paul Farnsworth, and lighting designer Oliver Fenwick.
Cast is yet to be announced.
Power of Sail runs from 28 March – 18 May.
