Private Peaceful at Haymarket - One Man, Two Guvnors takes 2 week break

Private Peaceful, by Michael Morpurgo, adapted by Simon Reade, at the Haymarket Theatre, from 18 to 29 Sep 2012.

One Man, Two Guvnors, which is currently playing at the Haymarket theatre, will take a 2 week break, and return on 1 Oct 2012, booking to 13 Jan 2013.

Private Peaceful relives the life of Private Tommo Peaceful, a young First World War soldier awaiting the firing squad at dawn. During the night he looks back at his short but joyful past growing up in rural Devon: his exciting first days at school; the accident in the forest that killed his father; his adventures with Molly, the love of his life; and the battles and injustices of war that brought him to the front line.

It is directed by Simon Reade, designed by Bill Talbot , sound by Jason Barnes.

The National Theatre is presenting Private Peaceful a Scamp Theatre production in association with Poonamallee Productions, by arrangement with the Theatre Royal Haymarket.
