Regent's Park Open Air Theatre announces further cast

Regent's Park Open Air Theatre has announced further casting information for its summer 2014 season.

All My Sons which runs from 15 May to 7 Jun 2014 will feature Tom Mannion and Brid Brennan in the roles of Joe and Kate Keller. They will be joined by Charles Aitkin (Chris Keller), Amy Nuttall (Ann Deever), Andy McKeane (George Deever), Simon Wilson (Dr Jim Bayliss), Tilly Blackwood (Sue Bayliss), Maddie Rice (Lydia Lubey), Matt Cross (Frank Lubey) and Charles Maddox, Ewan Harris and Johnny Peat sharing the role of Bert.

Arthur Miller's domestic drama will be directed by Artistic Director Timothy Sheader with set and costume design by Lizzie Clachan.

Brid Brennan is a Tony Award-winning Irish actress who has appeared in 'Dancing at Lughnasa' on Broadway, for which she won the Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Play. Her London credits include 'Rutherford and Son' (National Theatre) and 'The Little Foxes' (Donmar Warehouse) both of which earned her an Olivier Award nomination. Tom Mannion has previously appeared at Regent's Park Open Air Theatre in 'Two Gentlemen of Verona', 'Bartholomew Fair' and 'A Midsummer Night's Dream'.

Emmerdale's Karl Davis will join the previously announced Mark Benton and Jodie McNee in Harold Brighouse's Hobson's Choice, playing the role of Willy Mossop. Best known for his TV work as Robert Sugden in 'Emmerdale', Davis' stage credits include 'The Great Game' (Tricycle Theatre) and Propeller's 'The Winter's Tale' directed by Edward Hall. This new production is directed by Nadia Fall, and runs from 12 Jun to 12 July 2014.

The Gershwin's Porgy and Bess which runs from 17 Jul to 23 Aug 2014 will feature an international cast, including Jade Ewen (Clara), Cedric Neal (Sportin' Life), Golda Rosheuvel (Serena) and Leon Lopez (Jake) as well as the previously announced Rufus Bonds Jr (Porgy), Nicola Hughes (Bess), Phillip Boykin (Crown), and Sharon D Clarke (Mariah). The production will be directed by Tim Sheader and will feature designs by Katrina Lindsay

Jade Ewen shot to fame when she represented the UK at the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest, where she performed Andrew Lloyd Webber's entry, 'It's My Time'. Her stage credits include 'Tonight's The Night' (UK Tour), 'Whistle Down The Wind' (Aldwych Theatre) and 'Disney's The Lion King' (Lyceum Theatre). Cedric Neal is an American actor who has previously performed in 'The Gershwins' Porgy and Bess' on Broadway, as well as 'After Midnight' at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre, Broadway. Golda Rosheuvel previous stage credits include 'The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time' and 'South Pacific', both at the National Theatre. Leon Lopez is familiar to fans of the soap 'Brookside', which he played the long running character Jerome Johnson. His stage credits include 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang' (UK tour), 'Rent' (Duke of York's) and 'Tick, Tick... BOOM!'.

Further casting for each production as well as for 'Twelfth Night' re-imagined for ages 6 and over and 'To Kill a Mockingbird' are yet to be announced.
