It has been announced that a revival of Soho Cinders will be staged at Charing Cross Theatre from next month.

In a contemporary adaptation of Cinderella, Soho Cinders follows Robbie, a student who falls in love with London Mayoral candidate James Prince. As their worlds come together, the musical celebrates love, politics and scandalous behaviour.

Written by Anthony Drewe and Elliot Davis, the musical features original music and lyrics by George Stiles and Anthony Drewe respectively, whose previous works include the Olivier Award-winning Honk! and music for Mary Poppins.

Speaking about the show's return to London, Stiles, Drewe and Davis said: "Our story is about a love that blossoms between two people of different backgrounds and generations, and what they learn from each other... We are absolutely delighted the show is making a return to the heart of our city in Will Keith's production."

The creative team of Soho Cinders features direction by Will Keith, choreography by Adam Haigh and scenic design by Justin Williams.

Soho Cinders received its world premiere at the Soho Theatre in 2012, starring Jenna Russell and Thomas Milner.

Soho Cinders is at Charing Cross Theatre from 24th October to 21st December.
