The King's Head Theatre will present Second Soprano by Martha Shrimpton and Ellie Routledge at their pub theatre venue from 16 June to 4 July 2015, with an official opening on 18 July 2015.

The play is described as "a poignant tale presented by a virtuosic comedy duo and a piano." The cast includes authors of the production Martha Shrimpton and Olivia Hirst, and it is directed by Uri Roodner with original lighting design by Philip Hamilton. It is produced by Anthony Stephen Springall in association with Martha Shrimpton and Ellie Routledge.

It is 1914, and as two sisters are torn apart by historic events, an astonishing narrative unfolds. Second Soprano is the untold story of the nurses and entertainers who served in WWI. It is a stirring personal account and a tragi/comic tribute performed in a merge of Physical Comedy, Post-modern Tragedy, Music Hall tradition and Rock 'N' Roll.
