Showstopper! The Improvised Musical

It has been announced that the long-running improvised entertainment Showstopper! The Improvised Musical will have a limited run at the West End's Apollo Theatre from 24 September to 29 November 2015.

The production will see eighty brand new musicals grace the West End, each created on the spot by the group of musical comedy improvisers, who take audience suggestions are transformed instantly into all-singing, all-dancing shows with unpredictable and hilarious results.

"Fast, funny and entertaining, the team nightly pull off something incredibly ambitious. They create a real musical from scratch, not just an impro night with songs but a full story with stories and characters you can care about, a live band of incredible musicians, and spontaneous but seamless choreography."

The cast for the West End run will include a rotating cast of seven performers, including Ruth Bratt, Justin Brett, Dylan Emery, Pippa Evans, Susan Harrison, Sean McCann, Adam Meggido, Philip Pellew, Andrew Pugsley, Oliver Senton, Lucy Trodd and Sarah-Louise Young.

The show is produced in the West End by James Seabright, Julius Green and Julie Clare by arrangement with Suzanna Rosenthal for Showstopper Productions. The concept was created by Adam Meggido and Dylan Emery, and features design by Simon Scullion, sound design by Tom Lishman and lighting design by Tim Mascall. Musical direction is by Duncan Walsh Atkins.
