Steam Industry Free Theatre returns for 8th season 5 Aug

Steam Industry Free Theatre return with their 8th annual season of free theatre in the Scoop at More London Greek-style amphitheatre on the south bank of the Thames, between London Bridge and Tower Bridge next to City Hall, from 5 August - 5 September, 2010.

Two shows are performed for free TOAD HALL! at 6pm and DON JUAN IN LOVE at 8pm, with performances on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sundays.

Directed by Phil Willmott, both shows are performed by the same actors and you can see both shows every night. No need to book - just turn up and take a seat! There's room for 1000 people at each performance. And the actors perform in almost any weather.

TOAD HALL Adapted from events in Kenneth Grahame's 'The Wind in the Willows' by Steam Industry Free Theatre and the young people of Southwark. Can the fun loving, attention seeking Mr Toad ever be persuaded to take life seriously? Join his friends Mole, Ratty and Badger as they help him through a series of scrapes and japes, defending Toad Hall from the ever watchful weasels who'd steal it away.

DON JUAN IN LOVE by Jose Zorrilla. The handsome Don Juan is a devil with the ladies and a demon with a blade. Join history's greatest lover as he charms and murders his way through swash-buckling adventure and heartstopping drama. But as the sun sets over the beautiful Scoop amphitheatre vengeful ghosts gather to teach him there are consequences to a life of breaking hearts and destroying families.
