The Band, the new jukebox musical featuring the music of Take That, will run at London's Theatre Royal Haymarket later this year.

The musical, which has a book by Tim Firth, includes some of the band's classic hits such as "Never Forget", "Back for Good", "A Million Love Songs", "Greatest Day", "The Flood", "Relight My Fire", "Shine", and "Rule the World".

It will run at the Theatre Royal Haymarket from 1st December 2018 to 12th January 2019, with tickets on sale from Sunday.

The Band tells the story of five 16 year old girls who are obsessed with a boyband, who reunite 25 years later to try to fulfil their dream of meeting the group at a concert in Prague after winning a competition. 'The band' are played by Five to Five, winners of the BBC series Let it Shine, in which Gary Barlow was a head judge. Click here to read more about what you can expect from the musical.

Tim Firth and Gary Barlow reunite in the West End following their 2017 production of The Girls, a musical adaptation of the story of the Calendar Girls, which ran at the Phoenix Theatre.

Casting for The Band includes Alison Fitzjohn, Emily Joyce, Rachel Lumberg and Jayne McKenna as the group of friends, and Five to Five - AJ Bentley, Nick Carsberg, Curtis T Johns, Sario Soloman and Yazdan Qafouri - as the band.

The production is directed by Kim Gavin, who has worked with Take That since 1992 and has been described by Barlow as 'a pivotal part of every Take That live show'. The creative team also features director Jack Ryder, designer Jon Bausor, lighting designer Patrick Woodroffe, video designer Luke Halls, and sound designers Terry Jardine and Nick Lidster.

The Band is at Theatre Royal Haymarket from 1st December 2018 to 12th January 2019.

The Band Tickets go on sale on Sunday.
