All Star Productions present a revival of The Apple Tree, with book, music and lyrics by Sheldon Harnick and Jerry Bock, to be staged at Ye Olde Rose and Crown Theatre in Walthamstow in east London from 12 to 30 Aug 2014.

The Apple Tree is directed by Brendan Matthew and features choreography by Chris Whittaker and music direction and new orchestrations by Aaron Clingham.

Synopsis: 'The Apple Tree is comprised of three Musical miniatures:

'The Diary Of Adam And Eve' is a quirky, touching spin on the tale of the world's first couple, adapted from Mark Twain's Extracts From Adam's Diary.

'The Lady Or The Tiger?' is a fable set in a mythical Barbarian kingdom, exploring the fickleness of love.

'Passionella' is based on Jules Feiffer's offbeat Cinderella story about a chimney sweep whose dreams of being a "glamorous movie star" nearly sabotage her one chance for true love.'

Sheldon Harnick and Jerry Bock are perhaps best known as the songwriting team behind the classic musicals 'Fiddler on the Roof' and 'She Loves Me'.

The Apple Tree is produced by Andrew Yon for All Star Productions Ltd and presented by arrangement with Josef Weingerger Ltd on behalf of MTI New York.
