Tacit Theatre have announced that they will bring The Ballad of Robin Hood to the Southwark Playhouse for a limited run this Christmas, from 26 November to 26 December 2015, with an official opening on 30 November 2015.

Described as an immersive 'Robin Hood meets Game of Thrones', the production features words by Greg Freeman, and music and direction by Annabelle Brown. Lighting is by Leo Steele with sound by Ella Wahlström and fight direction by Ronin Traynor.

"Enter the Tabard Inn in Borough, 1380 and meet landlady Rose Bailey. Times are tough for Rose; rent is extortionate and she is being forced to pay a crippling tax by the local Marshalsea court, whilst the local gentry enjoy a bacchanalian orgy of consumption. Sit down, have a drink and delight in an evening of intoxicating tales and lively song about the country's greatest and much loved outlaw."

Tacit Theatre creates original storytelling theatre and tell stories that explore theatrical elements of everyday life. With live music and immersive design, their productions are about the whole experience; bursting with energy, music and light.

Tickets for the production are now on sale.
