The Bear by Improbable at Ovalhouse Theatre

Angela Clerkin in co-production with Improbable presents The Bear, a noir thriller about an everyday murder and a mythic bear, at the Ovalhouse Theatre Downstairs, in south London, from 21 May to 8 June 2013.

It is devised by the Company, based on an original short story The Bear by Angela Clerkin and Lee Simpson.

Cast includes Angela Clerkin & Guy Dartnell

It is directed by Lee Simpson, designed by Rae Smith & Lucy Sierra, lighting by Beky Stoddart, music by Nick Powell, and sound by Mark Cunningham.

In the cells under the Old Bailey, Angela meets her client who is on trial for murder. He's obviously lying. Or mad. This is London after all. But when she examines all the evidence, reads all the files, there it is again. The bear. Someone else saw it. Without quite knowing why, Angela finds herself hunting the bear. Until she discovers the bear is hunting her.
